Please have me look at your gear
« on: August 09, 2010, 06:14:32 pm »
This weekend i caught a couple gear problems that could have been larger problems if left alone. The long pack cycle is wonderful but we need to stay attentive to the condition of our gear. At any time, Please stop me and let me look over your rig weather I packed it or not. It's free. I'd rather have us all go home after a series of "uneventful" skydives instead of a "no sh*t there I was."

Thank you Jim!! I had such a problem on Saturday. I was lucky Alexis noticed it. The pin on my pilot chute had frayed halfway through the material holding it. I'd be very grateful to have you check over my rig.

Thanks Jim. I appreciate the offer. I'll have you take a look next time I see you at the DZ. Maybe you can give me some packing pointers too. I'd like to see if I can break the elusive 1 hour barrier.
