SIGN UP - Hellfish Scramble! September 4th

It's time for another Hellfish Scramble!  If you're looking for a fun and laid back way to get into the competitive spirit, the Flying Hellfish may be able to help!  Here are some details:

• Start time is 12:00 on Saturday September 4th
• All experience levels are welcome but a minimum of 30 jumps is required
• Each participant is expected to commit to 3 jumps.
• Each team will start on the same point
• Team captains (selected based on experience and ability) will be wearing video
• The last dive of the competition will start with a speed star.  Bonus points will be awarded to those teams who build it the fastest!

I'd like to play (If anyone will take a scrub like me on their team). We don't have to line up while captains pick teams (like they did in second grade dodge ball) do we? Cause I don't think I could put up with the humiliation of being last pick, all these years later.

There's not going to be any line up.  The plan is to distribute skill evenly among the teams to make it as fair as possible.  Also... it's really just to have fun!

Thanks Marty! I had a great time and learned so much by working with my great team, Fishful Thinking. This whole weekend was full of unforgettable moments. For some of us newbies this was our first boogie and we're grateful for such a cool experience! And I'm sure we owe beer, yes.

I extend my sincere thanks to all those who participated in the delayed Scrambles on Sunday, September 5th. I know the wind delay knocked some people out of the competition but it made it possible for others to compete so it all worked out. I particularly want to thank Team Captains: Dale Maddox, Rhonda Cheever, Olga Kornievskaia, Steve Kanat, and Angelo Tempia. I appreciate you working with low time and inexperienced jumpers to help them improve their skills. Thanks to the camera flyers, Keri Jastifer and Evan Austin. A special thanks to Dale for coming up with the idea of using the Go-Pro cameras for teams without a camera person - it worked out great. And thanks to the low timers who had the courage to sign up and the courage to try something where a smashing success was probably not in the cards. I know you learned something and got to jump with people you may not have jumped with or even known before. Thanks to Franz for his support and the second airplane - I hope you didn't lose too much money this weekend. Thanks to Max Paranzky for adding the Speed Star  to the cometition and dropping the minimum number of jumps to 30. Thanks everybody.
I will be posting the BEST Dive from each team on Facebook.  If anyone wants a DVD of all the dives from the competition please send me your snail mail address at martymac1@sbcglobal.net.  There is no charge for the DVD (it’s another of my hobbies).
